Easy Mexican Chicken Marinade

Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 500 g boneless chicken breast
Spices
  • 0.5 Tablespoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 0.5 Tablespoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh cilantro finely chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Lime juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon Brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
Seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper

Method
 

  1. Make the marinade: In a bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, brown sugar, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Marinate the chicken: Place the chicken in a shallow dish or ziploc bag and pour the marinade over it. Mix to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
  3. Cook: Bake, grill, air fry, or pan-fry the chicken. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for safety.

Notes

For more flavor, marinate the chicken for at least 2 hours or overnight in the fridge.
