Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted slightly cooled
  • 3/4 cup salted butter, softened 1 1/2 sticks
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add eggs, milk, and melted butter. Stir until just combined.
  3. Prepare the cinnamon swirl by mixing brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Spread half of the cake batter in the prepared dish. Top with the cinnamon swirl mixture, spreading evenly.
  5. Add the remaining batter over the cinnamon layer. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. While the cake cools slightly, prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Drizzle over the warm cake.

For a tender crumb, ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before mixing.
