Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and prepare the batter.
- Mix dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt) and wet ingredients (buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract) separately, then combine gently.
- Layer half the batter in the loaf pan, sprinkle with half the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar topping while still warm.
Notes
For the best flavor, use fresh ground cinnamon. Let the bread cool slightly before slicing for clean cuts.
